Is this organized?

Nate and I agree that we should be making a list of what we need to bring to convention this week. The problem is that we don't carry the list on us, so we just start a new one when we think of something. There are lists here and there. What's the point? HA. Instead of trying to pack our stuff we will be racing around trying to find our lists. Too funny. This is a slight peek into normal life around here.
Organizedly unorganized.

The rest of this post is going to be very random (or, for lack of better term, 'unorganized') in subject matter:

Rhya really really really loves Saraiah. She looks up to her and William and tries like everything to keep up and do exactly what they are doing. We were doing gymnastics yesterday. Saraiah got up into the side plank (I guess that's yoga- wups) and Rhya grunted, huffed, heaved, and actually accomplished the feat...for 2 seconds, but STILL! She was pleased as punch.

I am attached to Brielle. Literally. She won't let me out of her sight without huge protests. It may be a little inconvenient at times, but HEY, we don't have kids for the convenience, we have them because we WANT them! I love to wrap her snug in the Moby and explore the world with her. She frequently cranes her head around to just look at me and smile with those sparkling blue eyes. It's not uncommon for her little hand to reach up and feel for my hair, mouth, ear, or whatever else she can just touch and comfort herself with.
See that adorable boy? Yep, that's Grady! He doesn't feel so newborn anymore- he even cooed to me a bit. I got a feel for the life of my mom when she had twins plus a 20 mth old. I have it pretty easy!

I know I've said this before, but we have an intense climber in the house. In Rhya's mind:
Need to climb up and wash hands after using the potty? No prob- just shimmy up the drawer knobs to get to the faucet
Have a craving for some trail mix? No prob- scoot a chair up to the counter, heave body unto countertop, duck under cabinet door, and help one's self
Curious to know what on the top shelf of the closet? No prob- climb up the shelving until it reaches the ceiling, scoot butt to the back of the shelf, then yell for help when there is no other option but to be folded in half til help comes.
Baby food and tea are all the rage at this house lately. I've been introducing this and that to Brielle since she acts like a starving child whenever she sees us eat. :-) Her eyes follow the exact path of our forkfuls into our mouths. Her mouth opens wide whenever anything gets within grabbing distance of her lighting quick grasps. She's been doing well. Rhya is my ever present 'feeder'. Can you tell by the messy face? Poor Brielle!
The funnest part about our tea parties is the dipping of the tea bag into Daddy's holstein bull cup. Dip, dip, slosh, dip, squeeze bag, dip, ask if she can eat bag, dip, almost spill cup, sip, sip, slosh.....
Ah. Annual church convention is almost here. What am I forgetting? Who cares...The top on my list is to remember an open heart and willing spirit!

  1. This post calmed my frazzled nerves as I stressed about packing all the stuff a baby needs for four days. (Not to mention myself.) You're right...whatever we forgot doesn't even matter in the big picture! (And I don't even think I overlooked anything too crucial in the end...did you?)
