It was such a beautiful morning that I decided to go strawberry picking. I pictured a peaceful, quiet, morning with the fields all to myself...NOT SO!! There were hundreds of people with the same idea! Afton Apple was very organized, though, and even gave us hayrides out to the field. Nate has been working afternoons lately so he, Rhya and Travis had some time together.
The kids and I checked out the Prescott beach for the first time this summer. The water was so high that there was only a few feet of beach! Crazy! We had to wade through water to get to the beach because the stairs were underwater.
The daycare kids are little fish so it was fun watching them chase waves, dig water holes, and even put their faces in the water. Rhya was happy to watch from a distance but toward the end she walked down and got her toes wet.
After the dc kids left I took the dogs 'n the kiddo for a jog through town. I tied Kennan to the side of the stroller in hopes that he'd figure out how to heel, and if not, maybe help pull the load. :-) He figured it out super fast and trotted along with his tail straight in the air (except for when a noisy car went by. He thought that running into my legs would provide extra protection..stumble..trip...glance at car to see if they noticed)
After our run...this kiddo has a hilarious 'cheesy' smile, and I finally caught it on camera. She likes to flash it at strangers so they smile and tell her how cute she is. :-)
We couldn't finish the day without a last harrah. DQ has been advertising bacon cheeseburgers with a small shake for $3.99, so we just HAD to check it out. YUM- Fries have never been my thing so Rhya was happy to help herself to a few.
Wish I coulda' been there. Looks like a fun day (and good eating)!
ReplyDeleteYummy! What are you going to do with all of them? Eat them, or turn them into jam?
ReplyDeleteThe Prescott beach looks fun. We'll have to join you sometime!
