Tip

Hop on over to shutterfly and check it out. I just ordered about 100 pics from there tonight. Now I have to be patient and wait for the mailman to deposit the goods!
So here's the tip- to eleviate Shutterfly confusion. I always add new pics to the end of the current month's album. At first glance it may not look like it's been updated, but you just may be surprised. :-)
There. That was a boring post. sorry. ;-)

Teeth are worth it

Something tells me I've finally experienced what they call 'teething pain' in kids. Four more popped through and they must have been toughies!

Happy Anniversary to Mike and Kristina. You'd think they were still newlyweds. :-) Have a happy second year!

As I'm typing, Bill is sending our family pics over and he says that I can share. The pics are courtesy of my talented bro- in law. Thanks, Bill!!! It was a super fun shoot. Kylie and Karena did awesome at getting Rhya to look at the camera. :-)

Makes me laugh

Just the baby and me

Do you ever have a lonely feeling after a long spell of major activity? When the activity slows down, it feels very strange!! Today is a day like that, and however strange it feels, I'm welcoming it! Time to catch up a bit.

As mentionedin the previous post, we watched Terry and Sarah's pooches last week. All was fine and dandy except for when Mollie decided to take a self guided tour without informing us of her final destination. Good thing for the police dept. who called us when she decided to check in with a house 4 miles down the road. They told Nate that they fed her, which was very obvious later, according to the amount of uncontrolled piles the poor canine extracted. Rhya thought that the extra guests were wonderful! She couldn't get enough of them:
Speaking of extra guests, the workers spent Mon pm through Thurs. am with us. I can't believe I didn't get a pic of Gwen and Mary, but the memories will stick around for a while, that's for sure. :-) They are so fun to have around, and were game for any sort of chaos that happened around here (which included 10 hours of daycare kids on Wed). Gwen put Rhya to sleep three times and Mary and Rhya loved to make faces and giggle at each other.

My bro Travis was around all week, too. He only had to go to school one day, so was here most mornings (he works in the pm's). We've loved having him live with us over the last semester. His graduation is tomorrow- congrats, Twavie!!! He has new wheels- you'll have to ask him about it...or wait til I get a pic. :-)

We planted half of the garden Thursday night. Does anyone else use an extension cord to make sure that the rows are straight? Didn't think so.
Friday was gorgeous; too gorgeous to not go to the farm. Mom babysat while I breathed horse for a while. They transitioned from shaggy half shed out things to pretty, sleek beauties. Anyone up for a ride?
My big sis can put on quite the shebang. She invited a bunch of us over for a Mother's Day meal on Sat. Mike's side of the family was also there. We had a day filled with FOOD, chatting, park walk, backyard chilling, chicken and dog watching, tree climbing (that would be Nate and Mike), and more food. Thanks for the fun day!! She even had a rose for all of the Moms. :-)
Sunday resulted in morning mtg at Mom 'n Dad's, 3pm gospel mtg, and supper at Nate's parents w' Bill 'n Shanda and Great Gpa 'n Gma Lester. Gpa Mark put on a wonderful pizza supper! He picked up pizza and pie, set the table, served everyone, and even cleaned up from supper. His mission was to spoil the moms, and he was highly successful. :-) Thanks a million!

Arabian Dance at the MN Horse Expo

This was an AMAZING performance. The rider and horse were so connected.

Happenings

Friday: Perfectly awesome day for a riverside picnic with Shanda and the girls. We attended story hour in the morning and then walked down to main street, picked up Chinese (YUM), and filled our stomachs by the river. Then we had to tackle the humongous hill back home...on full stomachs..w' a 90 lb stroller. The kids thought it was hilarious watching me huff and puff. Karena kept saying, "Faster, Darla, Faster!"

Sat: Amie, Rhya and I attended the MN Horse Expo! It is the greatest place to go for horse crazy girls like us. We watched an AMAZING seminar by the one and only Pat Parelli. Simply Amazing...and inspiring!

Sunday: Stillwater Special Mtg, then supper at our house with Mom, Dad, Mike, Kristina, Travis, Terry 'n Sarah. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! #29.
We are currently dog sitting Terry and Sarah's canine kids, Mollie 'n Mavric. Makes for a lively household! Rhya thinks that they are just great.
