Things that come to mind

So often I think in my head, "I want to remember that!!" I really wish I would write more stuff down. Here are a few snippets as of late:

- Rhya was jumping on her toddler bed today. She knows it's a little 'on the fence' as far as being naughty, but regardless, she decided to make the most of her decision to jump, so was flying HIGH. Wouldn't ya know, she flew high AND sideways and landed on her rumpus pumpus about 1 foot from her bed. We then proceeded to have a discussion on WHY Mommy didn't think bed jumping was a good idea. Her sore tailbone drove the point home.
Pleased as punch to have little Gabriel over for a couple of days!! She got to walk Mavric and was extremely 'into it'. She chose to fall a couple of times with a death grip on the leash instead of letting go of the leash. Thanks to Auntie Sarah for making quick catches and preventing skinned knees and black eyes. :-)

- Rhya sticks her tongue in her cheek and looks up out of the corner of her eye when she's shy about something.

- Rhya is always so curious 'where' people and things are. I here this phrase over and over throughout the day: "Where'd ____ doh? (ex- Where'd  Daddy go? Where'd my bunny go? Where'd Ari (Sakari) go?) Sometimes if she's eaten a certain yummy food all gone, she'll ask where it went in hopes of getting more.

- Mary and Jennifer are here right now, and we went to the beach tonight. Rhya had been playing with my phone. I realized about 9:30 that I didn't have my phone so thoughtful Jennifer drove back down with her phone and 2 flash lights and combed the beach, all the while calling my phone. When she got home we realized that it was in the pocket of the lawn chair, which was in the chair in the trunk. OOPS! Sorry Jennifer! She was a super good sport about it!

- Mary. What a sweetheart. She only has GOOD to say about EVERYONE and is always SO positive..
She happened to notice the horrendously weedy garden and spent ALL morning weeding it in the cooking hot day. She had this cute sweat band on and hardly stopped for lunch. She kept saying that it was great therapy! Then she went to town and got some annuals to plant in various spots that she had cleared the weeds.
After our picnic supper on the beach she worked out in the still waters of the St. Croix and then climbed to the top of the lifeguard stand and soaked in the sunset. Little Rhya shimmied up behind her and sat on her lap for a good 10 minutes, just soaking up the moment.

- Brielle is incredibly interactive. She looks for people's eyes when they get within view and loves it when they talk to her. She usually doles out huge grins with sparkling eyes and sometimes even adds some coos. She's starting to cry at times when I give her to someone that she's not used to, but is usually completely fine if she can see me.
She is a little roller and loves to flop around and grab at stuff!
She is 15 1/2 pounds at 3 1/2 months and usually gets up once, sometimes twice per night, but then goes right back down.

  1. You need a digital recorder to record all the things you want to remember. Hang it on a chain around your neck so it is always handy. And another chain for your cell phone... :) Yes, Mary is a sweet gal. I've heard others speak highly of her. She reminds me of a grade school teacher when she speaks.
